Julia is an experienced Senior Accountant with over ten years of continuous service at ICODI, a Non-profit organization operating within a highly regulated donor-funded environment. Her extensive tenure reflects not only strong institutional knowledge but also a sustained record of professionalism, integrity, and reliability in financial stewardship. Over the years, she has played a central role in managing and overseeing grants funded by major national and international partners, including PEPFAR, USAID, UNAOC, UNICRI, IOC, AstraZeneca, and ViiV Healthcare, among others.

Julia possesses a deep understanding of diverse donor regulations, contractual obligations, and statutory requirements. She ensures full compliance with donor guidelines through accurate budgeting, timely and transparent financial reporting, and rigorous documentation. Her work consistently meets the standards of accountability and audit readiness, significantly contributing to ICODI’s credibility with donors and partners. She coordinates internal and external audits, promptly addresses audit findings with the team, and continuously strengthens internal control systems to mitigate financial and operational risks.

As a Senior Accountant, Julia is responsible for the overall financial management of donor-funded grants, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently and strictly for their intended purposes. A key component of her role is ensuring value for money by promoting cost-effective budgeting, prudent expenditure control, and optimal allocation of financial resources. She supports program teams and management in making informed financial decisions by providing accurate financial analysis, forecasts, and expenditure reviews that link financial performance to program outcomes.

Beyond grant management, Julia supervises and mentors accounts staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Accounts and finance department. She provides strategic financial guidance to senior management, contributes to organizational planning and sustainability, and supports the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. Her ability to manage multiple funding streams simultaneously, while maintaining compliance and transparency, has been instrumental in strengthening ICODI’s financial systems and long-term viability.
