About Us

Integrated Community Development Initiative, ICODI, is a registered non profit organization committed to empowering vulnerable communities across Uganda to achieve sustainable social and economic transformation. Founded in 2010, ICODI was established by a group of development practitioners, health professionals, and community activists who recognized the urgent need for locally driven solutions to poverty, poor health, and social exclusion.

Over the years, ICODI has grown into a trusted community development partner working in rural areas, urban slums, and refugee hosting communities. Our work focuses on addressing the root causes of vulnerability while strengthening the ability of individuals, families, and communities to lead healthy, productive, and dignified lives.

ICODI designs and implements integrated development programs that respond to real community needs. Our programs span health promotion, food security and nutrition, education, youth development, peace building, climate action, and economic empowerment. Through these thematic areas, we reach thousands of women, children, youth, and vulnerable households with practical knowledge, services, and opportunities that lead to long term change.

Our approach combines community participation, evidence based programming, and strong partnerships with government institutions, health facilities, schools, and international development partners. We work closely with community leaders, volunteers, and local structures to ensure our interventions are culturally appropriate, inclusive, and sustainable.
